MOSCOW, October 10 (RIA Novosti) - At least 10 people were killed on Saturday when Taliban gunmen attacked Pakistan's army headquarters in Rawalpindi, national media reported.
Six soldiers and four assailants were killed in the ensuing battle.
Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, a Taliban militant group in Pakistan, has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik was quoted as saying militant attacks further strengthened the government's resolve to start the military offensive against Taliban insurgents in South Waziristan.
