MOSCOW, October 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's foreign minister met with the outgoing French ambassador Monday, to discuss perspectives for developing bilateral relations, the ministry's information and press department said.
"Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov received French Ambassador Jean Cadet, as the French official's term in Russia will soon end," the department said.
"The officials discussed a broad range of foreign policy issues, as well as the current situation in Russian-French bilateral relations, and their development," the ministry said.
Lavrov and Cadet "confirmed their interest in sustaining cooperation between Russia and France on key issues of the international agenda, and in further strengthening the privileged partnership between the countries," the statement said.
