Malaysian PM backs Russian initiatives on Iran's nuclear crisis

NUSA DUA (Indonesia), May 13 (RIA Novosti, Mikhail Tsyganov) - The Malaysian prime minister said Saturday he supported Russia's proposals to defuse Iran's nuclear crisis.

"I hope that these initiatives will be crowned with success," Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The Malaysian head of government is attending a summit of the D-8 group of developing countries in Bali. In addition to Malaysia, this international organization, established in 1997, includes Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
