KIEV, March 24 (RIA Novosti, Pavel Dulman) - The Ukrainian foreign minister said Friday his country could expect to join the European Union in 2015.

Borys Tarasyuk said talks on drafting a framework agreement with the EU could begin in the near future.

"At issue is an associated membership with the possibility of accession," he said.

The minister added that Ukraine currently "had no concrete agreements with the EU and everything would depend on the course and results of the parliamentary elections [due on March 26]."

He also said Ukraine expected to join NATO in 2008.
