The Kyrgyz president briefed the U.S. diplomat on the current political situation in the republic and the parliament's confirmation hearings on new cabinet members.
Bakiyev said Kyrgyzstan would maintain and advance mutually beneficial and friendly relations with all neighboring states, Russia, the United States, and European countries.

He said that the United States would like to have good relations with all countries in the region, including Russia," the presidential press service reported.
