Bishkek, July 11 (RIA Novosti, Natalya Belova, Yulia Orlova)-Kurmanbek Bakiyev could be inaugurated in early August, an acting deputy prime minister said. "We want to hold the inauguration as soon as possible," Daniyar Usenov said after Baliyev's convincing victory in the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday. "The government set us the task of holding honest, legal elections," Usenov said. "The results give us hope. We are pleased. People had the opportunity to vote for whom they wanted."

With 95% of the votes in, Bakiyev had won 89%. Human rights ombudsman Tursunbai Bakir uulu finished a distant second with 3.73% and Akbaraly Aitikeyev, the head of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, followed him with 3.63%.

The counting has not yet finished, but experts have said that nothing can change the results. Members of Bakiyev's campaign staff are already celebrating victory.

Under Kyrgyz law, the Constitutional Court should rule on the legality of the elections a week after the polls shut, and two weeks after that the inauguration should take place. Parliament, which is currently in recess, must convene to announce the date.

Previously, parliamentary speaker Omurbek Tekebayev told RIA Novosti that parliament was interested in seeing the republic's authorities becoming legitimate as soon as possible and that it would convene in an extraordinary session for the winner of the election to take the presidential oath.
