BISHKEK, June 1 (RIA Novosti) - Unarmed policemen are trying to prevent the storming of the Supreme Court in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan.

A score of policemen, who at first calmly watched a crowd of about 300 people storming the building of the court, have formed a chain in front of the building. Though they are not armed, they are trying to keep back the crowd milling several meters from the entrance, throwing stones and breaking windows.

About a hundred of supporters of candidates who lost the parliamentary election in March this year have been holding the building of the Supreme Court for 45 days. They demand the resignation of the court, including its chairman Kurmanbek Osmonov.

They have placed bottles with petroleum in front of them, threatening to set fire to the Supreme Court if the crowd storms it.
