New Airport Terminal to Open on the Eve of World Cup in Volgograd

A new airport terminal will be opened in Volgograd in May, 2018 to service domestic airline passengers. Its capacity will be 720 passengers per hour, the press service of the administration of the Volgograd region reports.

External and internal engineering networks have already been installed in the new terminal, as well as automatic fire alarms. Local services started the process of interior decoration and works on improving the adjacent territory.

Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time in its history from June 14 to July 15. Games of the tournament will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Volgograd, and Samara.
