Former NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton slated for new office

NEW YORK (VOR)—With just a little over a month until New York City mayor elect Bill de Blasio is sworn into office, many are wondering who will be the next police commissioner after de Blasio vowed to relieve current NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly of his duties.

While the position still currently belongs to Kelly, signs are leading towards a law enforcement professional who’s held the slot before: former NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton.
