Kazakhstan to introduce one year period visa-free regime for ten states
"The Kazakh government has decided to introduce visa-free travel for citizens of the United States, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, and Japan between July 15, 2014 and July 15, 2015," the Kazakh Foreign Ministry press office has said.
During this period citizens of the enlisted countries who hold valid diplomatic, business and national passports, will be able to enter, exit and transit Kazakhstan repeatedly without visa approval for 15 days from the time the border is crossed.
This special regime is an experimental program. After the project is implemented, it will be decided whether to extend or terminate it, the press office said.
According to the information of the Foreign Ministry, the Kazakh initiative is directed at enhancing bilateral partnership relations and creating favorable conditions for foreign business people and tourists during their stay in the country. In the framework of the project citizens of the named states will be able to travel visa-free to Kazakhstan and to visit historical, tourist and environmental sights, to study Kazakh culture and to establish business contacts, the statement said.
