Ukrainian military shot 30 of their own comrades who surrendered - militia

Earlier it was reported that in the village near Rubezhnoye of Lisichansk area of Lugansk region soldiers of the Ukrainian army surrendered to the militia. Later their own comrades opened fire on them.

Ukrainian military shot on Thursday about 30 of their own comrades who surrendered to the fighters of the Lugansk People's Republic, said a spokesman of the militia Ostap Cherniy. Earlier it was reported that in the village near Rubezhnoye of Lysychansk area of Lugansk region soldiers of the Ukrainian army surrendered to the militia. Later their own comrades opened fire on them. 

Cherniy said that in the area of Lisichansk battle began with the Ukrainian army units and national militia. "When the Ukrainian military on a column of armored vehicles approached Lisichanskiy, militias tried to enter into negotiations with them, but they opened fire," he said. Then the military retreated, but 30 of them decided to stay and surrender, said militia.

"30 people from Ukrainian military <...> surrendered. All of them were shot (by their own soldiers), " he said. 

Militias fed prisoners and decided to put them in the building of the local college."

"When we put them into the bus and drove to college, the military shot the bus from a heavy machine gun," said the representative of the militia.

The fact that the shooting took place was confirmed by another prisoner from the Ukrainian army, who spoke to the journalists on Thursday night. The prisoner said he was a soldier of the 30th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

"We moved to the area in the north of Lisichanskiy. Commander ordered to start desultory fire," said the prisoner.

He said that he was left alone in the IFV during the retreat. As the soldier stated, militia saved him from the bullets of the Kiev soldiers.
