Moscow calls on Kiev to reveal whether Russians among dead in Odessa fire

Moscow has called on Kiev to reveal information on whether there are Russians among the dead from a fire in Odessa, otherwise it will consider the tragic event as a new attempt to blame everything on Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said early Saturday morning.

Ukrainian news agencies have said that 15 people who died in Odessa were Russian citizens, who were allegedly participating in protests.

Moscow blames Kiev for tragic events in Odessa

"The question arises of on what base of materials are these conclusions drawn? If all of the dead have been identified and there are confirming documents, then they should be voiced and not play on the feelings of the parents of the dead and not attempt to stir emotion among people who have already been shoved to the edge of the abyss. If no identification has been conducted and there are no documents, then such statements are yet another loud attempt to convince the community of some "Russian trace" found in the Odessa protests," the ministry said.
