Russia's Anna Milenina took her second gold medal at the Sochi Paralympic Games on Sunday, winning the women's 5km standing cross-country ski race.

The 27-year-old, who added this victory to her title in the 1km sprint, was in third place just 800m before the finish, but sprinted to victory, 12.5 seconds ahead of Ukraine's Iulia Batenkova who grabbed her third silver of the Games.

The bronze went also to Ukraine, as Alexandra Kononova added it to her gold and silver from earlier in the Games.

Three-time champion Alyona Kaufman led for most of the race but faded at the end, trailing in four seconds behind Kononova.

Earlier in the day, Russian skiers swept the podium in the 10km standing race, with 16-year-old Alexander Pronkov taking the gold, before Canada's Brian McKeever grabbed his 10th career gold in visually impaired category.
