Russian Interior Ministry is checking reports about school shooting in Moscow, one police officer dead

The Russian Interior Ministry is checking reports about an incident in a Moscow school. "Earlier, media outlets reported that a major incident occurred in school No. 263. Police arrived at the scene. The reports are being checked," the ministry's press service said. A police officer has died of injuries sustained during a hostage situation in a Moscow school.

The school is located at 11B, Otradnaya Street in the north of the city.

The security guard managed to call police by pressing an alarm button. When police arrived, the man opened fire on the officers from a window.

The criminal entered a classroom where students of the tenth graders were having a biology lesson.

The attacker forced a security guard at gunpoint to lead him into the school.

A father of one of the students in a Moscow school has entered the facility with a rifle, shooting at a policeman and taking the high school students hostage, Lifenews reports.

A gunman has entered school No. 263 in Moscow opening fire on policemen arriving at the scene.

The gunman is believed to be the father of one of the students, Life News reports.
