Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has described the current state program on developing agriculture in Russia as one of the most successful such programs in the past twenty years.

Speaking at a Cabinet session in Moscow on Thursday, Medvedev said, in particular, that Russia’s grain exports currently stand at 18 million tons and that about 100,000 families have already improved their living conditions in accordance with a federal special-purpose program to this effect.

He stressed that supporting the agrarian sector will remain the government’s key priority in the future.
