Donald Tusk’s govt now safe

Poland’s parliament (sejm) has rejected a no-confidence motion against Donald Tusk-led government proposed by the main opposition Law and Justice party.

The plan was supported by 137 MPs only while 231 votes were needed to have it passed.

The Law and Justice leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has been seeking the government’s dismissal since last October accusing the ministers of failing to cope with the country’s problems and crisis.
