Moscow remembers Holocaust victims

Moscow is remembering Holocaust victims.

Prominent politicians and religious figures will meet at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre today.

The memorial action of candle lighting will take place against the background of issue-related posters that are part of an exhibition named The Salty Taste of the Victory. The exhibition illustrates the Nazi ideology and plans of the ‘final solution of the Jewish question’.

The 27th of January became the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2005. This date marks the liberation of Oswiecim by the Red Army.
