Canada expands Iranian blacklist

Canada has expanded sanctions against Iran for its unwillingness to give up its nuclear program. This was announced on Tuesday by the country's Foreign Minister John Baird.

According to him 98 names have been added to the blacklist of Iranian individuals, entities, organizations and companies whose assets are to be frozen in Canadian banks and who will not be allowed to maintain business ties with Canadian nationals.

Over 500 individuals and entities are now on Canada's Iranian blacklist.
