Human Rights Watch accuses Syrian rebels of using children for fighting

Human Rights Watch has accused Syrian rebels of using young boys for fighting.

Children as young as 14 have served in at least three brigades, transporting weapons and supplies and acting as lookouts, while children, as young as 16, have carried arms and taken combat roles against government forces, New York-based watchdog said.

The HRW officials interviewed boys who worked with the armed opposition in Holms, Deraa and in the province of Idlib.

Human Right Watch demanded that the Syrian opposition stopped using children in fighting.
