Nationalists march in Moscow’s center

On Sunday, a number of nationalist organizations held a rally called “The Russian march” in Moscow’s center. The rally was sanctioned by the authorities.

The participants carried the black-yellow-and-white flags of Russian monarchists and shouted out: “Russia for Russians!”, “Sent illegal migrants away!”, and the like. Some of them covered their faces with scarves, and some threw smoke pellets.

According to the police’s reports, only about 2,500 people took part in the rally. The rally’s organizers claim that the real number was 20,000.

Similar rallies, although with smaller numbers of participants, took place in several other Russian cities.
