Bodies of 26 WWII soldiers found

The remains of 26 soldiers who died in World War II, were found in the Rostov region in the south of Russia.

The names of three of the soldiers have been determined one had is name engraved on a medallion and another had an inscription on a personal spoon.

The excavations have been going on for five days in the framework of the project: Blood and Glory at Mius, Fall 2012.

Such expeditions are organized twice a year in the Matveyev, Kurgan and Sholokhov districts, where fierce battles took place and many of the dead soldiers were buried in mass graves becoming unknown soldiers.
