Russian Grand Mufti demands more mosques in Moscow

Grand Mufti of Russia Rawil Gaynetdin was reelected for this position by the Russian Council of Muftis on Saturday.

Summing up the results of the activities of the Russian Council of Muftis for the last five years since the previous congress, Gaynetdin reported that at present the Russian Council of Muftis controls 28 regional governing councils and three Muslim universities. In the near future, the Russian Council of Muftis is planning to comprise the governing councils of Siberia and the North-Western Region.

Speaking about the prospects for the future, Gaynetdin declared that the number of mosques in Moscow should at least double.
