Get ready for 'supermoon' and Venus transit

On Sunday, May 6, the moon will be closer to the earth than it is on any other night in the year, and therefore appear significantly larger to the naked eye. This phenomenon is called supermoon. A truly rare astronomical phenomenon is expected on June 5th and 6th, when Venus will be transiting across the sun`s face.

A truly rare astronomical phenomenon is expected on June 5th and 6th, when Venus will be transiting across the sun`s face.

This will be the last time this century sky watchers can view Venus passing in front of the sun. The next transit won’t happen until 2117.
