Moldova’s Autonomy wants to speak Russian

The head of Moldova’s Gagauz Autonomy Mikhail Formuzal has proposed making Russian the second official language to protect interests of the Russian minority there and contribute to the solution of the Transdniestria conflict.

The head of Moldova’s Gagauz Autonomy Mikhail Formuzal has proposed making Russian the second official language to protect interests of the Russian minority there and contribute to the solution of the Transdniestria conflict.

Official Moldova has clashed with the Autonomy over the language issue, namely aftera number of Gagauz  students had failed exams in the Moldovan language and  when the local government  ordered diplomas and official papers to be issued in Russian only.
