Vilnius mayor awarded Ig Nobel
Vilnius Mayor Arturas Zuokas has been awarded the Ig Nobel Prize for his solution of the illegal parking problem.
Zuokas was named the winner of this year’s Ig Nobel in August, after he smashed a Mercedes parked in a no-parking area in an armored personnel carrier.
The award ceremony took place at Harvard University in Boston.
The first Ig Nobels were awarded in 1991. The awards are given in ten categories and the winners receive them from Nobel laureates.
