Russian  ship to join naval drill off N.C. coast

Russian Navy anti-submarine warfare ship Admiral Chabanenko and a Black Sea Fleet rescue tug have arrived at the US Naval Station at Norfolk, Virginia, for participation in a joint naval exercise with US, British and French warships off the coast of North Carolina.

Russian Navy anti-submarine warfare ship Admiral Chabanenko and a Black Sea Fleet rescue tug have arrived at the US Naval Station at Norfolk, Virginia, for participation in a joint naval exercise with US, British and French warships off the coast of North Carolina.

The drill, scheduled to start later this week, includes the repulsion of an attack by small-sized vessels, helicopter rescue operations, personnel transfer procedures, and joint maneuvering.
