A search battalion has found a KV-1 (Klim Voroshilov) tank on the bottom of the Neva River and the remains of the Soviet soldiers who were killed in the Second World War, chief of the battalion Vladimir Mansurov said Tuesday.

He said that the decision on the recovery of the tank will be made in the coming days after divers explore the bottom of the river.

Mansurov also said that on the eve of the Victory Day over Nazi Germany marked on May 9, it is planned tor rebury the remains of 535 officers and men who died in battles on the Sinyavsky heights protecting Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).
