Sukhoi Superjet 100 makes first passenger flight
Russia’s new Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane has performed its first passenger flight. The aircraft named after first ever cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin arrived in Moscow earlier in the day from the Armenian capital city of Yerevan with 90 people on board.
The Superjet 100 is a highly efficient regional passenger airplane designed by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company with the involvement of a number of foreign countries and is capable of providing passengers with an enhanced level of comfort.
Both Russian and foreign airline carriers signed a total of 296 contracts for the acquisition of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
