The Russian National Library in St. Petersburg has opened an exhibition of drawings by  the Nobel-winning poet Joseph Brodsky. There are items from Brodsky’s poetic period in Leningrad from 1958 to 1972 and also from his United States period. The former come from Russian archives and private collections, and the latter - from Yale University.

The former come from Russian archives and private collections, and the latter - from Yale University. Many of the Leningrad drawings have never been on display before.

The exhibition marks the 70th birth anniversary of Brodsky.
