Russia sends more flood aid to Pakistan

The second plane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry with humanitarian aid for the flood-affected population of Pakistan has landed at the Islamabad airport this morning. The Il-76 airliner has brought in over 42 tons of humanitarian aid, specifically prime necessity goods, such as blankets, tents, and first-aid medicaments. The same cargo was delivered by the first plane on Tuesday.

The same cargo was delivered by the first plane on Tuesday.

The largest-scale floods on record in Pakistan, due to incessant monsoon downpour, have claimed more than 1,600 lives and have made 20 million people suffer in some way or other.

 According to the UN estimations the restoration of the country will require more than $450 million.
