Russian pumps to help with Poland floods

Russia has supplied Poland with high capacity pumps to be used in flood-struck central and southern parts of the country. The Russian machinery will be operated by mobile rescue groups which have been formed in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and other cities. The floods were caused by torrential rains, but the situation is now under control.

The floods were caused by torrential rains, but the situation is now under control. The Vistula flood waters have reached the Baltic Sea and there is no risk of dams bursting.
