Five years since Ukraine's Orange Revolution

This Sunday marks 5 years since the start of what is known as the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.

This Sunday marks 5 years since the start of what is known as the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.      On the 22nd of November 2004, thousands of people wearing orange scarves and waving orange flags assembled in the central square of Kiev for round-the-clock protests against the victory of the Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovich in elections for Ukrainian President. A re-run was called, resulting in a narrow victory by Viktor Yushchenko. The new leader turned his country towards the West and badly spoiled its relations with Russia.
