Mug Life, described by its creators as "a breakthrough platform and app," lets anyone create impressive animations from still photos. In just a few clicks, an eye-popping technology based on deep neural networks can perfectly insert animated expressions into pictures of people and animals.
The app has been available for iOS users since the end of October, but it has already attracted a lot of attention, and its popularity is growing exponentially.

The developers say they've implemented "deep neural networks" into the app and it "marries decades of video game expertise with the latest advances in computer vision."
"You don't have to be technical or artistic; all it takes is a photo. Users can download community animations and paste them to any photo, or just have fun playing with faces. When inspiration strikes, you can create your own animations and memes," the company stated in a press release.
