Victoria’s Secret models are at the receiving end of a flurry of angry comments online after a short backstage video featuring the ladies singing along to a song by Cardi B, called Bodak Yellow, went viral.
The bit that provoked the public outrage was one verse of the song, "I don’t wanna choose and I’m quick to cut a ni**er off", or rather the fact that the models uttered aloud the racial slur it contains.

Some people took a dim view of the models using the n-word, no matter how unintentional it apparently was.
If you’re not black, don’t say the N word. Point. Blank. Period.

So who said it?
so they can stop themselves from eating for days but can’t stop themselves from saying the “N” word?? pic.twitter.com/9DrMNdVlwY

I really hope y’all give them enough hell over them saying the N word to the point VS has to release a statement. Cus they tried to sweep that Gigi incident under the rug like she just up and chose not to go this year… pic.twitter.com/SiSZuefRv6

i think we found victoria’s secret and it’s racism.

Others however questioned whether condemning the models borders on hypocrisy, or if all of the models actually uttered the slur aloud.
so I saw the Victoria’s Secret video and I think there’s an audible dip in volume when the n-word comes up in Bodak Yellow. definitely some of them did say it but I think that a lot of them are not bad people

Words don't have meaning without context!!!! They weren't insulting or being racist they were just jaming on a song.
