It seems that after months of waiting, the Portuguese football star finally got what he wished for, a statue that actually looks like him.
According to the 101 Great Goals website, the new bust was officially presented at Real Madrid's museum upon its completion on the 2nd of November.
Arteago's son was reportedly the one who pressured his dad to come up with the new design for Ronaldo's statue after he and many-many others were dissatisfied with the bust of the Portuguese star that was constructed earlier this year.
The image of the previous statue, presented in Spain's Madeira international airport in March, quickly went viral and instantly became a meme for spectacularly failing to look like Ronaldo (or any healthy human being).

Unfortunately, Ronaldo was not present at the opening ceremony for his new bust, as he was playing in London against Tottenham.
Even less fortunately, the new bust did not manage to bring any luck to the four-time FIFA Ballon d'Or and European Golden Shoes winner, whose team lost 3-1 against Spurs.
The new statue, in fact, reminded the Twitter community about the earlier fail, as it went crazy over (mistaken) rumors that the glorious Madeira statue has been replaced.
