A gaggle of bystanders were put on alert after the owner of a Chinese food eatery in India decided to throw piping-hot oil on a man for complaining about the taste of his dishes.

Shared online by Asian News International, the video shows the owner of the food stand filling up a container with oil and chasing the customer away before flinging the liquid on him. The vendor is seen refilling and tossing the oil at least three times on the security footage.

According to NDTV, the assault began after a customer approached the owner and complained about the poor quality of the food. Following a heated exchange of words, the customer then reportedly broke some of the establishment's furniture and threw it at the owner. By this time the vendor had had enough and retaliated with the oil.
