Sunday marked a trending flash mob on Twitter called #BadWaysToStartAConversation and social media users have come up with hilarious and sometimes creepy ideas of things one shouldn’t say when starting a conversation.

At present the #BadWaysToStartAConversation has generated dozens of thousands of responses. The public has let its imagination go wild with awkward conversation starters.

Some people suggested that starting a conversation on a political note isn’t always the best idea. Others highlighted how asking for money or asking to eat someone’s food from their plate is also a big killer for a conversation starter.

Many suggested that starting a conversation with stating political slogans is not a very good idea, while some recalled US President Donald Trump's "covfefe" typo in a tweet, which went viral this summer.
