The heroic act took place in the Canadian capital Ottawa in June. It is unclear how the poor critter got into the water, but it was lucky that the woman who spotted it had a big heart.

A heartwarming video has been uploaded on Youtube in which a woman rescued a chipmunk from the swimming pool in her front yard. According to the description of the video, she spotted something floating in the water from the window and went out to find out what it was. When she realised it was a chipmunk, the woman did not hesitate to pull it out from the pool. She wiped it dry with a towel and fed it and when the little buddy recovered from this unpleasant experience, she let it out in the wilderness. Hopefully, it is doing just fine and will be more careful in the future.
