A group of tourists on a safari through the Serengeti in Tanzania were shocked when a cheetah hopped into their car, hoping for a lift.

In the video, which was captured by Peter Heistein, the cheetah can be seen muzzling the passenger compartment and clawing and gnawing at the headrest of an empty seat. The group's tour guide told the tourists to avoid eye contact with the new rider and to remain calm so that the animal couldn't smell their fear. Eventually, the curious cat simply jumped out of the car and nobody was hurt.
