10:00 GMT 05.10.2017 (Updated: 19:31 GMT 19.10.2022) This video shared online on October 4 appears to show a Peruvian Navy aircraft, which rammed a police station at the Mazamari airbase in Satipo Province, Junín Region. The An-32 reportedly rolled off the runway before the collision.
According to the preliminary version, the incident occurred due to a malfunction in the aircraft's braking system. The official cause will be known upon completion of the investigation. According to local newspaper Diario Correo, there were about 70 servicemen on board the aircraft at the time of the incident, but neither the soldiers in the plane nor the police on the ground were injured.
