Instead of pencils and paints, Algerian artist Abdul Hafez Qazlan prefers more unusual materials, because ordinary thinking is not his cup of tea!

In this video, the 20-year old artist first demonstrates a canvas with a strange brown and white mixture on the surface; however, one shake is enough to let the substance slip down and reveal a stunning portrait of reggae musician Bob Marley. After that, Qazlan also provides a glimpse of his process of drawing former South African President Nelson Mandela with the use of coal.
