Deadly Mite Escapes From Japanese Scientists at a Conference

A deadly mite escaped from scientists during a scientific press conference in Japan.

According to media reports, an insect which is a carrier of bunyavirus was presented to the scientific community and journalists at a press conference in Miyazaki Prefecture. When one of the scientists decided to pick up the tick with tweezers, the insect disappeared. The ensuing search for the insect in the room where the event was held was unsuccessful.
