Big Cat's Mission: Persian Leopard Arrives in Iran From Portugal for Breeding

This six-year-old Persian leopard male flew all the way from Lisbon Zoo, Portugal, to his native Iran for a spot of breeding with his female counterparts at Tehran Zoo.

According to Tehran Zoo chief vet Dr. Iman Memarian, if the breeding attempt ends successfully, it would be the first time in all the history that leopards will have been bred in Iran.
