Kendi the Baby Black Rhino Takes His First Stroll Outside

Subscribe
This precious little rhinoceros, born on July 17 at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, went outside with his mom for the first time.

Kendi, which means "the loved one" in Swahili, is the first eastern black rhino born at the zoo since 1999. The month-old calf is now making short visits outside with his mother Seyia, who is very cautious and prefers hanging out inside more than going out. Visitors will be able to see Kendi more often when the baby rhino gets more comfortable with his new surroundings.
