Creative technology is about to break through another ceiling: Swedish company Einride rolled out a prototype of an unmanned cargo truck with no seat for a human driver.

The Einride's electric truck, T-pod, is basically a box on wheels. It can carry up to 20 tons of cargo for about 200 kilometers without recharging. On highways, the truck will drive autonomously, but on city streets or in other complex environments it will be operated remotely. By 2020, the company plans to have 200 of these trucks used in circulation throughout Sweden.
