    Russian Troops Conduct Training Launches of Tochka-U Tactical Missile Complex

    Tactical ballistic missile brigades of the Russian Ground Forces based in Kursk Region conducted training launches of the Tactical Operational Missile Complex Tochka-U at the Kapustin Yar missile test range in Astrakhan Region. More than 500 servicemen and about 100 units of armaments and military equipment participated in the drill.

    The Tochka-U is a mobile missile system, designed to launch precise attacks on the enemy's tactical targets, such as control posts, bridges, storage facilities, troop concentrations and airfields. The modernized version of the Tochka-U, which can carry nuclear, biological or chemical warheads, has a maximum firing range of up to 185 kilometers.
