The Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War is observed in Russia and other Post-Soviet states on June 22.

Participants of the memorial event, ‘Memory Line,' made an installation from 1,418 lit candles on Krymskaya Embankment along the Moskva River at night on June 21, on the eve of the Day of Memory and Grief. Each of the candles symbolizes one day of the war.
