Real-Life Iron Man: British Inventor Builds a Jet-Propelled Flying Suit

Over the course of nine months, British entrepreneur Richard Browning had invented, built and filed a patent for his Iron Man-like flight suit.

For the time being, this super-suit allows its user to soar about half a meter above the ground for a few minutes. The inventor has released a YouTube video showing him testing the suit, which he has called Daedalus, after a Greek mythological figure. Browning believes that in the future his invention will allow people to fly at speeds of several hundred kilometers per hour, and the flights will be less dangerous than riding a bike through the countryside.
