The Battle of Bull Run: Bovine Takes Police on Wild Chase Through NYC

A young bull ran for his life after escaping from a slaughterhouse in the Jamaica neighborhood of the New York City borough of Queens. On the morning of February 21, policemen spent two hours chasing the cattle before managing to catch it.

The escapee was tranquilized and captured in someone's backyard. The police promised that the bull wouldn't be return to the slaughterhouse and would be taken to a shelter instead. However, it was later reported that the animal died while being taken to a local animal care department.
