    Swimmer Michael Phelps won his 22nd gold medal by beating the competition, including rival and countryman Ryan Lochte, in the 200 individual medley. Viewers in Canada, though, were led by CBC’s Elliotte Friedman to believe that Lochte had won.

    "Finally, he's going to do it! Ryan Lochte is going to beat Michael Phelps in this event!" Friedman said.

    And…..no.
